On Saturday my Malaysian girls and I visited Brixton Market, which is not far away from Camberwell. It is also a very African area.
Passionate preachers on the street.
You can always see CD stalls in markets.
People drinking tea along the street.
Food, always my favorite.
In the roofed section, the narrow space is divided into many compartments, which just reminds me of Taiwan.
There are shops of sweets.
There are beauty salons.
There are many cafes inside and outside the market for people living in the neighborhood. They are part of people's daily lives.
We decided to blend in with the locals, so we had our lunch in a bar.
Near noon there were only us and one more customer in the pub.
I ordered Yorkshire beef wrap.
This is "toad in the hole," with sausages stuffed inside the pie.
Beef and ale pie.
After the noon time, there were more and more people, most of whom only ordered beer to drink.
Next we went to a cafe.
We had to put chocolate into the milk ourselves.
It had rained for a whole afternoon, but the sky was super lovely!
