Yesterday when I returned to the office during the break, I was surprised to see the balloon flowers on my desk. They were from my two young secret admirers. The beautiful gift really made my day. After going back to the classroom, I was in such a wonderful mood that I couldn't help asking the kids to guess who they were from. They were innocent enough to say, "Boyfriend!" I thought, "Oh, way better than that!"
It's my routine to buy flowers after Thai class every week. For me, this is the most inexpensive happiness I can find in the world. I am glad that my young girls also buy flowers for themselves and for others. We don't have boyfriends, but we know what it is to love ourselves and the world.
