Traveling in Taipei 3 /

Sleepless in Taipei

It's late at night. Apart from those who sleep tight, in Taipei City, some people work hard so quietly that you are hardly aware of their existence.

The moon tonight is fat and round. I sleep sound. The young doctor is awake, alone. He ponders over life, death, old age and illness in the dark.

Miragee, just read many of your past posts. Very delightful. I hope you don't mind, I put a link to your blog from mine.

I think what i like so much about your work is how you hit on common human experiences (desire, longing, loneliness) and convey it with clarity and an open innocence. I second Robin, love your blog!

And I have just read more and am so "taken" with your "voice." I agree with Callipygia who remarks about your "clarity and an open innocence." I love the piece about the tea house an the drawing is really wonderful. I love your signature block and wish that I had one! I also loved what you wrote about your Mother. Keep going!!

Thank you Robin and Callipygia. First, please go ahead with the link. I feel honored:-). As for the topics of my posts, they are mostly what I see in daily life. Now I feel an acute need to record these feelings. If not, they just flit by and it's quite a pity.

It's interesting that my friend Huei loves the tea post too. She said it's very different from my bright and colorful style.I have the need to try new things constantly, so I do not have a really fixed style for the time being.

Oh really? I actually have a big project later in fall about the trip I took with my mom this summer. What happened between us is certainly interesting. I hope I will keep my words and do the project. For the time being, I have too much on my hand. New ideas never start springing up every day...
