Lost

by Weichuen You 2002

When Chichi and I traveled in France for the first time, we were really confused by the intricate systems of roundabouts French are crazy about. In the beginning, we were so lost and out of fear, we would randomly choose a direction just to get away from the circular labyrinths. Unluckily, Fortune hardly smiled upon us. Then we would make great efforts to drive all the way back into the roundabout to make another choice.

Advice for tourists who plan to visit France: The only solution to the delimma is to take a French attitude. Relax and take your time. It's not illegal to spend more time than usual in roundabouts. If you haven't come to any conclusion on which way to take, enjoy the scenery outside and before long you'll find your way.

What a great story, and even greater advice:> I really had the feeling of being confuded and lost looking at your illo...all those streets and all those direstions. You always create such wonderful visual stories; it's a treat to visit here and see what's new.

Thank you for your comments. This is actually an old piece of work presented in a series of drawings about my first trip to France. As you can tell, my current style is rather different from then. But I love those works none the less...

Nice layout of this. This has a busy chaos to it. Well done.
